Northeast Oklahoma Kennel Club was established in 1988, and is a member club of the American Kennel Club. Under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club, NEOKC was initially formed to protect & advance the interests of all pure-bred dogs, to encourage sportsmanlike competition, and to conduct dog shows and obedience trials.

In addition to its annual AKC sanctioned all-breed dog show at the Grove Civic Center every April, NEOKC has worked very hard to become involved in the community. NEOKC participates in the Grove Christmas Parade, the annual Grove Chamber of Commerce Home & Garden Show and assists local Animal Control.

Canine Ambassadors have presented Dog Safety Classes for elementary school children in Colcord, Grove and the Jay Boys & Girls Club. Presentations have also been made before the Rotary Club, Grove City Council, Grove Senior Citizens Center and 1st Thursday Thoughts sponsored by Arvest Bank.

NEOKC sponsors Angel Paws, a group of Club members and their dogs registered through Therapy Dogs Inc. Angel Paws teams routinely visit nursing and assisted living facilities in the area. Also, several Angel Paws teams have bi-monthly READ visits at the Grove Lower Elementary School.  We also offer STAR puppy classes.  Click here to see our upcoming class.  

NEOKC offers various classes throughout the year including basic & advanced obedience, conformation, rally and agility.

While the Northeast Oklahoma Kennel Club building is located northeast of Grove, the Club’s members are from a wide area surrounding Grand Lake, as well as Southwestern Missouri. The Club’s building has easy access on Highway 10, just 1 ½ miles north of the Hwy 10/Hwy 25 intersection east of Grove, and is utilized for meetings and classes.
